Head of Seribu Islands Public Works Sub-Department, Hamdan explained land subsidence caused the bridge tilted about 100 meters on the north side. Besides that, the top of the bridge has begun to crack. Such incident happened in mid-October.

"In one week ahead, seven bridge poles will be amplified," he told, Monday (11/24).

To prevent similar case, he would check the land structure. As the initial phase, the repair is firstly focused on the bridge's concrete element poles.

"We spend Rp 300 million to repair the bridge. Henceforth, we plan to do the research. If it was needed, we could re-build the bridge," he stated.
